Vaccines are a hot topic nowadays. Do they cause autism? Do we have a right to say no if we are concerned for our kids. Politics aside, there are certainly thousands of cases of vaccine injury that happen every year. And, of course, our question is, can hyperbaric oxygen therapy help?
The most commonly reported, long-lasting injuries after vaccines are neurologic: seizures, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and other nerve injuries. We know that hyperbaric oxygen is very helpful at treating neurologic issues like traumatic brain injury treatment, head injury concussions treatment and strokes. We also know that hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy helps with general acute trauma like an injury or post-surgical healing. So it makes sense that hyperbaric oxygen therapy would help with a vaccine injury as well.
As far as I know, there isn’t any specific research done on vaccine injuries and hyperbaric oxygen. This is taking a bit of a leap in making this suggestion. However, given that hyperbaric oxygen is great for kids with autism and given the neurologic benefits already stated, I would certainly recommend it for patients.
There is still too much of a divide in the medical community to say for sure that vaccines are causing autism or other injuries. Our bigger concern is your health and helping you, or your child, heal, despite the cause. If you feel that your child’s decline in health is related to a vaccine injury, give us a call and let’s see if hyperbaric oxygen therapy could help.
