We see quite a spectrum of people in our office for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We see cancer, concussions, wounds, Alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia and more. Often, I like to look through the research to see what’s new in the world of hyperbaric medicine. Here, at the beginning of February, there are more than 20 new articles that have been published in the last month. So exciting to see this tool being explored for its potential.

One article caught my eye because the effects were so dramatic. It was looking at treating brain cancer with radiation or radiation plus hyperbaric oxygen. 93% remission or partial remission in the oxygen group vs 67% in the straight radiation group! That is a huge difference with simply adding hyperbaric oxygen.

There were also less side effects and adverse reactions in the oxygen group. That means success is more likely, and the patients feel better too. I don’t know of any pharmaceutical that can live up to that.

Cancer is obviously a difficult process to deal with and hyperbaric oxygen on its own is unlikely to eradicate the cancer. But, if used in conjunction with other tools, it can make a dramatic difference in both health and well-being. If you have cancer, or you know someone who does, please give us a call and let us help expedite your healing.
